Approved Driving Instructor Handbook

Galle Saliman have written the Approved Driving Instructor Handbook.

The work was commissioned by the Government of Jersey’s Driver and Vehicle Standards Office to collate, review and update a number of existing policies and generate new content consistent with contemporary needs and expectations of a regulated service.

The completed document presents a single source for Driving Instructors, the regulating officers and trainee instructors with respect to policy, regulations and procedures adopted to maintain and deliver high standards of driver instruction.

The handbook includes a full description of the process to become registered as an approved instructor, updated standards and fitness to practice, complaints process and detailed performance monitoring process. It includes guidance for the regulator to provide assurance to the public and government that standards are being upheld.
